I know how to work a computer. Why would I use a travel Advisor?

If the concept of a travel advisor seems outdated to you, you’re not alone. “Travel agents still exist?” is one of the most common questions we hear. There is no shortage of online travel websites that give you the ability to do-it-yourself. So why would you choose to work with a travel advisor?

Let me break down some of the possible reasons why working with a travel advisor makes sense:

You’re busy, stressed, overworked, tired, burned out….

You have a lot going on, and that means your time is at a premium. Trying to squeeze planning the vacation that’s intended to help you relax can end up being more stressful. Not only that, but you likely don’t have the bandwidth to put in the attention to detail that ensures you’ll be experiencing the trip that you need and deserve.

Information overload

The amount of information that Google throws at you is bonkers. If you barely have the time to plan a trip in the first place, do you really have the time to sift through a million search results? Plus, staying on top of the latest travel developments and restrictions can make your head spin. Wouldn’t it be nice to have one reliable source (like a trusted travel advisor) for all of the information you need?

Decision fatigue (or what I like to call The Netflix Syndrome)

Most of us have had this experience, or something like it: You sit down to watch TV and unwind. You don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, so you start scrolling through your options looking for the perfect fit. There’s so much to choose from, so you keep scrolling…and scrolling…and scrolling… Then, one of two things usually happens—you end up watching something you’ve seen a million times, or you turn off the TV and go to bed. While both of those results can be nice occasionally, neither is introducing you to something new and exciting.

I think you see where I’m going with this—choosing your next destination, or where to stay, or activities to do can be really difficult because there are so many options. Sometimes you need someone to help you narrow down your choices, and who better than someone who knows your tastes? A partnership with a travel advisor can really help you expand your horizons.

You want to get the best possible value from your trip

Notice that I didn’t say “best possible price.” Travel is one of those areas where you usually get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a bargain-basement deal, then you probably shouldn’t be working with someone like me. Because I’m not trying to find you the cheapest vacation available—I’m trying to design the best vacation for YOU. One where you come back and say, “That was worth every penny.” That doesn’t mean that I can’t find some great pricing for you—actually, I have access to perks that you wouldn’t be able to find on your own—it just means that my priority is making sure you get exactly what you want.

You’ve got complicated plans in mind

Planning a long weekend at a resort in Hawai’i is very different than planning a two-week, multi-city, multi-country adventure through Europe. Ditto for a safari or experiencing something well off the beaten path. There are a lot of moving pieces to consider, and it’s hard to know if you’re making solid choices. A travel advisor manages all of the aspects of a complicated itinerary, and we have connections with trusted partners in your destination that help to ensure everything runs smoothly. All you have to do is enjoy your time.

You’re celebrating something big

Weddings, honeymoons, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, graduations, reunions—all of these are BIG DEALS. You want to focus on the celebration, not the logistics. Not only can a travel advisor help plan and execute your celebration trip, but we can arrange special touches that make your celebration even more memorable.

This all makes sense now, right? You don’t have to deal with everything on your own (sometimes we forget that). Let me make your experience so seamless that you’ll be wondering why you didn’t reach out sooner.
