Long Weekends: 3 Days in Vancouver, BC

Searching for the perfect blend of cosmopolitan energy, breath-taking scenic beauty, and laid-back lifestyle? Then Vancouver, British Columbia is the perfect destination for you. As one of Canada's most beautiful cities, Vancouver promises a mix of urban sophistication and stunning outdoors – the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable getaway. Whether you're a culture aficionado, a bon vivant, or an adventure seeker, Vancouver won't leave you disappointed.

Day 1: Arrival and Downtown Exploration

Begin your rendezvous with Canada's bustling epicenter, Vancouver! After touch down at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), you’ll head to your hotel to settle in. A room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim or Rosewood Hotel Georgia will give you the ultimate blend of comfort, elegance, and panoramic city views.

After freshening up, head out to explore the chic urban oasis - Downtown Vancouver. Revel in a leisurely stroll around Canada Place. Awaken your senses with its waterfront views, or enjoy the awe-inspiring FlyOver Canada virtual flight ride. Another great option is heading up to the observation deck at Vancouver Lookout, where you can get a stunning 360-degree view of the city.

As evening falls, treat your taste buds to an amazing dinner at Forage. Their farm-to-table menu is extensive, and it focuses on sustainable and locally sourced ingredients..

Day 2: Granville Island and Stanley Park

Start the day bright and early with an Almond Croissant at the acclaimed Thomas Haas Chocolate in Kitsilano. With a spirited stride and a filled tummy, board an iconic Aquabus to Granville Island, a mecca for foodies and art lovers. Participate in a private, guided tour of the Granville Island Public Market, where a cornucopia of local gourmet food and boutiques awaits. If you’re feeling more adventurous, take a speedboat tour of the harbor and take in the views from the water.

Post lunch, escape the urban hustle and make your way to Vancouver’s largest green space – Stanley Park. My favorite way to explore the park's key highlights, such as Totem Poles, Prospect Point, and the beautiful seawall is on an e-bike, and there are plenty of places to rent them downtown and along the water.

Vancouver is known for delicious Asian foods, so make sure you don’t miss out and grab a fantastic dinner at Maruhachi Ramen, Pidgin, or Bao Bei.

Day 3: Capilano Suspension Bridge and Historic Gastown

On your final day, embark on an adventure to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, a breathtaking scenic park located just outside of Vancouver, spanning over 450 feet across a canyon and offering views of the Capilano River below.

After an adventurous morning, visit the Gastown neighborhood, known for its cobblestone streets and historic architecture. Grab lunch at Tacofino or MeeT to refuel before you browse through unique shops and boutiques, sip on craft beer or artisan coffee, and explore the steam clock, one of Vancouver's most photographed attractions.

Finally, indulge in a grand farewell dinner at Botanist, where Pacific Northwest cuisine meets innovative cooking techniques, resulting in a unique culinary experience to wind up your Vancouver visit.

Vancouver, with its cultural vibrancy, stunning natural attractions, and culinary delights, makes for an unforgettable journey. Its casual charm mixed with a touch of luxury is certain to make this 3-day itinerary irresistible to any traveler.
